A quippy, dry/goofy hybrid, Lex could be your friendly vagabond artist or a dark-humored, sarcastic hacker. Someone who might sell drugs and dispense wisdom - or is it sell wisdom and dispense drugs?
Conservatory trained at Maggie Flanigan Studio, Lex became a mainstay in the NYC indie theater scene, most notably as an original cast member of the long-running, late-night soap opera for the stage, It's Getting Tired, Mildred, in the role of Justine Wiilson monthly for five years! Along with the rest of the cast of downtown stalwarts, Lex received the 2016 New York Innovative Theater Award for Best Ensemble for their work in The Golfer.
Lex’s on-camera work can be seen in the films of many independent luminaries - including Linda Yellen's film Fluidity and Uncompromised Creative’s The Paper Store.
Collaboration, developing new work, celebrating everyone's strengths, and amplifying unheard voices are what drive Lex’s artistic pursuits on and off set.
At the onset of covid lockdown, Lex created and began hosting a virtual open mic called Signal to help all of the artists whose jobs were abruptly canceled. It has since blossomed into a Salon, attracting talent from all over the country, in multiple disciplines, and with varying levels of renown. Still running with new hosts, it continues to create and hold space for exchanging art and ideas.
Lex is a queer, gender fluid, neurodivergent weirdo who sometimes uses femme pronouns, has Tourette’s, sometimes uses a cane (hEDS), always tries to build community, and can’t wait to meet you.
